CENTER FOR FORENSIC ANALYSIS

ABOUT

The Center for Forensic Analysis (NAF-LADETEC / IQ-UFRJ) was designed for promoting research, education, extension and services within the Forensic Chemistry field. Studies in forensic science are associated with methodologies that aim to prove, in details, criminal evidence to events or trace to fight crime strategies. Its main focus is on analysis, investigations and research in forensic matrices, using high-performance analytical techniques. Among them, gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry quadrupole (GC-MS), gas chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS / MS), comprehensive bidimensional gas chromatography coupled to time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC×GC-TOFMS) and liquid chromatography coupled to ultra high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and to tandem mass spectrometry (LC-QqQ).
